The MALAYSIA TOURISM PROMOTION PARTNERS ASSOCIATION (MTPPA) or in Malay: PERSATUAN RAKAN PROMOSI PELANCONGAN MALAYSIA (PRPPM) was incorporated and registered as an NGO movement with the Malaysia Registrar of Societies (ROS) on the 29th July 2016.

The organisation was established to support and enhance the Malaysian hospitality industry. MTPPA works closely with ministries, agencies, private companies as well as local stakeholders in delivering unique and interesting events and programs to attract local and international tourists.

Malaysia has prime advantage due to us having beautiful natural attractions, established hospitality services and facilities, as well as friendly locals with a welcoming nature. The Malaysia Cyclocross Competitions is just one example of such unique events. It is designed to be an annual event. We have ambitions to be recognised by other cycling associations and international bodies. It is our way to put Malaysia in the map with sports tourism.

You will be seeing many more events in years to come from MTPAA.

The Malaysia National Cycling Federation (MNCF) is one of the oldest national level associations in Malaysia. It is not known exactly when it was formed, but from reliable sources it is believed that bicycle racing was introduced by British Soldiers posted to Malaya before 1938. It was only in 1938 that organised activities in the sport of bicycle racing began with a number of Road races being held in and around Kuala Lumpur.

MNCF has since been heavily involved in the development of cycling as a competitive sport and health activity among locals. Malaysia organises international competitions like le Tour de France, le Tour de Langkawi, and others.

It is a great advantage and privilege for MNCF to be a co-organiser in the first ever international cyclocross competition in Malaysia.

None of this would be possible without the support of local partners in the government, state agencies, sponsors, and media.
